General Fund
General fund donations are mission critical to keep camp affordable, pay our year round staff a living wage, and keep our property and facilities in excellent condition for our guests.
Sr High Duplex Cabin Capital Campaign
Our Sr High campers have enjoyed camping in the Retreat Center the last few summers. But, our guest group requests continue to grow and it is time for the Sr High to have their own camp area. The need has been internally discussed for 30 years! Because of an estate legacy gift, we have a great start of $200,000 to fund the need and get started.
The financial need to complete the cabin is an additional $200,000.
Waterfront Upgrades
The most visible and valuable activity resource we steward is our 800 feet of Pine Lake beach. We are seeking to add inflatable play toys and expand the waterfront storage.
The financial need to complete the waterfront is $40,000.
Picnic Tables and Bench Upgrades
For years we have survived with wood picnic tables and benches. The wood is a constant maintenance issue though as we paint or stain them every few years. And, eventually they just rot out. Our long term goal is to replace all the existing ones with maintenance free commercial plastic ones.
The financial cost of 1 table is $900 and 1 bench is $400.
Total need of 32 Tables is $28,800.
Total need of 32 Benches is $12,800.
Missionary Staff Families
Our camp directors, Kevin and Michelle Grifhorst, are missionaries to Pine Ridge sent by Grandville Baptist Church. Their salary is partially from donor support, with the other part coming from the general fund. Please prayerfully consider partnering with them to support their mission of serving Christ at Pine Ridge.
Campership Fund
Pine Ridge wants every child to attend camp if they want to come. Some families struggle to afford camp, and our generous donors have assisted thousands of kids and special needs campers with financial aid. Each year we help over 100 campers with the cost of camp with over $50,000 of aid given annually.
Summer Staff Mission Support
Our summer staff are missionaries! They may not be going to the other side of the world to serve Christ, but their service here in Cedar Springs is critical in helping the camp meet our mission to share and model the message of Jesus with kids. Pine Ridge is seeking to find the balance in keeping camp affordable, but also properly supporting the many young adults that serve at camp each summer. You can help encourage young adults to serve here by donating to their salary fund. All donations are added to the recipients salary that camp pays.
