The Program Director will provide leadership to our team in creating and leading a balanced program of experiential activities and objectives that will purposefully achieve the mission of Pine Ridge, to share and model the message of Jesus. The Program Director will also spiritually lead the direct reports and campers. This position is part time with summer camps and winter retreat season requiring full-time hours.

Position Summary
The Program Director will provide leadership to our team in creating and leading a balanced program of experiential activities and objectives that will purposefully achieve the mission of Pine Ridge, to share and model the message of Jesus. The Program Director will also spiritually lead the direct reports and campers.

- Plans and organizes youth ministry outreach and discipleship programs through the school year.
- Develops and executes summer staff training.
- Works with the Coordinators to provide effective staff assignments and time-off for Cabin Leaders and other staff members.
- Gathers and evaluates program records and data that relate to campers, Cabin Leaders, or summer staff members.
- Leads the daily and weekly summer program team meetings, including times of prayer and daily study of God’s Word.
- Handles discipline problems that are beyond the capability or authority of Cabin Leaders and other summer staff.
- Gives any report, written or verbal, that may be required by the Director of Ministries, which relates to the program of the camp.
- Interviews potential campers for inclusion into programs for people with developmental disabilities.
- Develops partnerships with local church pastors and leaders through consistent communication.
Human Resources, Marketing, and Other Responsibilities
- Assists the Director of Ministries in recruiting qualified staff, visiting churches, schools, and community expos to promote summer camp, and with creating program descriptions for marketing and social media.
- Works with the maintenance team to ensure all activity areas are ready for guests, closed down properly at the end of the season, and function with maximum safety and security.
- As required by the Director of Ministries, functions as the secondary host for guest groups through the school year.
- Runs camp activities for guest groups through the school year.
