Junior High Overnight Camps
Our Jr. High overnight camps are built to help campers discover their identity in Christ while growing in independence, confidence, and community. Staying in our rustic Ridge Camp, every camper will enjoy a perfect balance of high-energy activities—from zipping through the air on the zipline to playing laser tag in the woods—and deep, faith-centered moments, including Bible study, worship, and small group discussions.
Through these experiences, campers will build lasting friendships, strengthen their faith, and have an unforgettable week full of fun, growth, and adventure.

Get ready for the adventure of a lifetime! Our Aviation add-on at SMAT (School of Missionary Aviation Technology) in Ionia is back, and this summer campers will soar to new heights—literally!
Each day, campers will:

Wilderness Camp — Late Junior High & High School
Give Your Teen the Adventure of a Lifetime: Wilderness Trip!
This summer, campers in grades 8–12 have the chance to unplug, explore, and dive into the wild! The Wilderness Trip will be a four-day float down the beautiful Manistee River. This camp is perfect for teens who love water, nature, and adventure. Campers will experience God’s creation in a personal way, free from modern comforts. Three nights will be spent dispersed camping in state and national forests along the river, under the guidance of experienced leaders.
Campers will:
• Paddle and navigate the river, learning canoeing skills along the way.
• Learn survival skills and primitive camping techniques, from finding a proper campsite to purifying water.
• Grow friendships and faith through campfire worship and biblical discussions, team challenges, and daily adventures on and off the water.
What to Know:
• Campers must be able to swim and enjoy being in the water.
• Campers must be okay with NO modern comforts, not even a vault/pit toilet.
• Spaces are limited to 12 campers, so early registration is recommended.
This trip is a once-in-a-summer adventure where teens will challenge themselves, connect with nature, and make memories that last a lifetime.
Adventure Trip – Junior High
Adventure Trip is Back for 2026!
For campers who crave the outdoors and the full Pine Ridge experience, Adventure Camp brings the best of both worlds! Spend the week diving into classic camp activities, team challenges, and all the unforgettable fun that makes Pine Ridge feel like home.
The highlight? A six-hour raft float down the majestic Pine River—an epic journey capped off with a night of tent camping at the Pine River Paddle Sports campground. Cook meals over an open fire, worship under a blanket of stars, and soak in God’s creation in a way you’ve never experienced before.
Adventure Camp is a chance to try new things, push yourself, and create lifelong memories with new friends. It’s the perfect blend of fun, faith, and outdoor thrills—an experience your camper will never forget!
Take Camp to the Next Level

Aviation
Campers will spend each day at SMAT exploring the world of flight through hands-on learning and exciting experiences. From learning how airplanes work to taking the controls in real flight experiences, each activity is designed to spark curiosity and build confidence. Evenings at Pine Ridge include classic camp fun, group games, and community time, blending adventure, learning, and faith in an unforgettable week.
Battle Games
This emphasis is for those who want to take Pine Ridge battle activities to the next level! In addition to the laser tag activity that we offer battle games will provide campers with the ability to play paintball throughout the week! All equipment will be included as campers will learn battle strategies and how to work together as a team!
Fishing
Campers will be taught how to catch “the BIG one”. Each day we will fish in Pine Lake with some seasoned pros guiding the way. Bring your own pole and tackle box or use Pine Ridge equipment. All experience levels are welcome!
Basic & Advanced Watersports
Our Water Sports program is for all of our water-loving campers that want to develop some mad skills. These campers receive daily sessions and personal instruction out on beautiful Pine Lake. Each program includes tubing, knee boarding, water skiing, and wakeboarding, along with a trip to Action Wake Park where your camper will learn how to ride the cable.
Advanced Water Sports is for campers that have prior experience in each discipline or has previously went through our basic class.

Summer Camp Discounts
Pine Ridge strives to make camp as affordable as possible. However, we realize that families sometimes still need additional support. The first thing to consider is participating in one of our Camper Fundraisers. We have two Food sale fundraisers with dates in March and April, and we also have a Key Card fundraiser that can be done at anytime. With much gratitude to many friends of Pine Ridge, we are able to offer generous scholarships to help those that can not participate in a fundraiser.
